IOLTA GRANT APPLICATION - ALLOCATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025

The grant cycle for FY2027 IOLTA grants will open on March 1, 2026.
Completed applications are due April 10. Decisions will be made by the end of June 2026 for FY2027.

Each year the board of the Delaware Bar Foundation receives, reviews and meets with grant applicants to determine awards and allocations of IOLTA-generated funds to eligible nonprofit Delaware organizations. At meetings in May 2025, the Board recommended the following IOLTA Grant Allocations for Fiscal Year 2026 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) that were approved and awarded by Supreme Court Order dated June 10, 2025:

Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI)   $2,155,070
Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Inc. (DVLS)   $632,744
Legal Services Corporation of Delaware, Inc. (LSCD)     $980,000
Delaware Law Related Education Center (DELREC)   $139,460

The State of Delaware allocated a total of $1,000,000 in FY 2026 to the Bar Foundation through the Administrative Office of the Courts for legal services to the those affected by poverty. The Bar Foundation allocated the entirety of the funds to the three legal aid agencies listed above.

IS IOLTA PARTICIPATION MANDATORY?
Yes. Delaware’s IOLTA Rules maximize the revenue available for the charitable purposes of the IOLTA program by ensuring that all appropriate funds are maintained in IOLTA accounts and that those accounts earn competitive interest rates.
